Chloe and Brett’s wedding was just my style of wedding. Usually it’s my job to make the bride and grooms dreams come true but this day they made one of mine come to be a reality. When Chloe, Brett and I first met and we talked about their wedding on the family’s farm I happened to throw it that it was one of my dreams to get a bride on top of one of those huge hay bales. Little did I know that Brett was a crop farmer and not only that but his land overlooked the stunning Murray River. On their wedding day I was enjoying it all so much. This personal wedding was filled with details and a picture perfect backdrop…. There were even cows!

I happily snapped everything (and with such a stunning bride like Chloe this was easy!) We played in fields, had bridal party members chase away brown snakes as I was very deeply embedded in a field and hoped it wasn’t coming my way, and Ben the groomsman come chair cover extraordinaire come photographer grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots himself! I was having a ball and can safely say this was already one of my favourite weddings and then it happened Chloe in beautiful vintage tulle and bead encrusted gown jumped on top of the giant hay bail. I think I squealed a little and Chloe joked she was making my dream come true! Not only did I get amazing shots from this but it also sums up my experience of these two… Ready to have fun and not take life to seriously while enjoying all its adventures and all the while being the amazing, kind and thoughtful people they are!

    Enjoy, Carly xoxo

Steph and Craig’s wedding has been a long time in the making. Plans were set for this wedding to take place a few years ago and as we all know life can change and be so much better than we ever planned. So when another date was set Steph was quick to see if I was available (again) and I couldnt wait to shoot this wedding. Partly because I have known Steph for a fair few years and I love sharing in the days of people I know. This time I knew two people as Shelley one of the bridesmaids is a fellow friend and Stirling Photography bride herself!

The sun was beaming for this family affair and the backdrop of Glanville hall made for a picture perfect affair. We had a great time with these photos and due to HEAPS of time alocated for photos meant I got to throw a few unscheduled locations like the beach and alley ways in and I am so glad as the photos there are a bit special… Well I think so and hope you do to!

It has been a while between blog posts due in part to being so busy with wedding season, meeting new and amazing couples to work with, trying my hand at full time single parenting and full time work for three days. I learnt these two are like oil and water and should not mix but the three days with my god daughter were a blast. I have also been really sick and have actually taken the doctors orders and spent time in bed. Which has killed me a little as I may be a slight workalolic these days, especially when I have so many gorgeous weddings I want to get out to my amazing couples and you!

Kristen and Anthony’s was just that…   A load of laughs and a blue and purple colour pallet that against the rolling greens of Tea Tree Gully Golf Course just popped! I had such a great time taking these photos… With golf buggies and ponies who wouldnt (there were even muscle cars to keep the boys interested). To top it all off my bestie who is a wedding videographer (and mum to the 3 year old I was looking after) was along for the ride to film it all. I loved working with her again and loved this couple. It was a truly gorgeous day and topped off with a moonlit dance under the stars.

I totally love my Job! Taking photos of amazing couples and telling their stories is reward enough but if you give me paintball guns, camo gear, authentic military Humvees, gorgeous brides who smile all day and ask to get on a giant inflatable pillow in a wedding dress then you just add the icing to the wedding cake!

That’s what Danielle and Ben’s wedding was like. I had so much fun on what was my longest wedding shoot to date! These two couldn’t have been blessed with a better day. The sun was shining and water glistening at Henley beach which made for shots that were a dream that reflect the love between these two who are so in love! The party didn’t stop there we were off to Stella’s for a beautiful and personal reception. As the sun set Ben serenade us (who are we kidding… serenaded Danielle) and we danced on long into the night. This wedding was so much fun from start to finish (the jury is still out on the Chinese Fire Water!). I had a blast and these photos speak for themselves. There were so many it was impossible narrowing this blog down but I finally have and here it is for you to enjoy!

Oh and dont forget to view all Danielle and Ben’s SNAP THAT smile booth photos

Sometimes you get to play during your work day. Sure you may take a gazillion gorgeous shots and actually be very productive but it really just feels like you are at a party having a great time. If you look at this blog and the SNAP THAT {smile booth} photos you will see exactly what I mean.

Sam was so photogenic I wanted to just kiss her, Ben was an absolute champ as to were all the groomsmen with a special mention to “Gourmet” who had me laughing all day and when we added in some bridesmaids who know how to have good time and room full of strangers who felt like friends by the end the evening it just added to what has started as a wonderful wedding season.

Thank you for letting me share in your special day I had an amazing time and truly hope these images show just how gorgeously fun it was… Yep that’s how I’m describing Ben and Sam’s wedding pure gorgeous fun with a golf cart or three!
