Nestled into the hills of Crafer’s there is a gorgeous church called Church of the Epiphany. It’s where the scene was set for Jess and Janek’s wedding. I had the privilege of being part guest part photographer for the ceremony. It was my pleasure to be part of the nuptials of this family who has so much love for each other it just overflows and is contagious to everyone else around.

Jess did not disappoint on the style side. It was as if I had stepped back in time to the gorgeous 30’s and 40’s the dresses and veil were perfectly fitted to this stylish and refined wedding. After being swept up in hymns of times gone by and a choir of amazingly gifted teens, an I do or two it was all sealed with a kiss and that was my cue to chase Maple around the garden and pick flowers with her before taking off for some fun with the rest of the bridal party at Balhannah Railway Station.

This day was truly as if I had stepped back in time and I pray it is one of many timeless memories you will share.

There was a lot about Bret and Pania’s wedding that I fell in love with. There old house with original features. Handmade hairclips, buttons on glass jars with fresh picked flowers, Rondo the upsized version of my own pooch, the bridesmaid and best man, glistening fields and frolicking in them, sunshine, Eagle Rock and the boys ritual bonding experience during it, traditional New Zealand songs sung by a chorus of family, handmade cake toppers from, buntings that hung between trees… Oh I could go on and on and on…

What I fell in love with the most were the two people it was all about. Pania and Bret are truly fantastic, as individuals they are lovely, funny and two genuinely great people but together they are something even more special. They have that kind of love that comes from knowing someone and appreciating them for who they truly are. As Bret gave his speech I was tearing up from the back of the room (along with everyone else in the place). His words were filled with so much adoration as he expressed the many things he loves about Pania as she looked up at him with her one dimple smile and a tear or two.

Bret and Pania you truly are each others best mate. I pray that through every season your love grows and every day you get your big squeezy hug and a kiss. Thank you for letting me share your day with you and for helping me have Huey Lewis’s tune ‘happy to be stuck with you’ playing on repeat in my mind. May you be as happy as pigs in mud when you are old, grey and have loads of smile lines from laughing together.

Simon and Amy’s wedding had two of my favorite elements a wedding can have… Cute animated kids and a couple who wear their heart on their sleeve ands let eWorld just how much they love one another!

Perhaps my favorite part (as this blog may allude to) was the bride and groom shoot. Yes we left everyone else behind. Hopped in a vintage dodge limo courtesy of R&J limousines and spent a few hours in newlywed photography bliss. Amy sure knows how to work a camera so my job was so easy and meant I got to get a bit creative since she was up for just about anything!

I totally love this couple and their photos… Hope you do to!

Emma and Paul’s gorgeous wedding kick started my wedding season. As I expected it was full of laughs, filled with great people and just gorgeous. Set in the magnificent Ayres house the day was adorned with sunshine and smiles a plenty. From when I arrived until the celebrations wound up Emma’s contagious laugh was a true delight to my day and made some of the most fun photos of the day and the SNAP THAT {smile booth} was a bit of a hit as well!

There is a special group of people who take the first photos of your baby. They get to be the ones to see your faces light up as you see your babies heartbeat for the first time and point out what all of those shapes and splotches (which are actually cute little hands and feet) really are. Yes they share that moment that that take your breath away  and that you will remember for ever and even give you a few black and white photos so you can remember this moment and treasure always.

Within this amazing group of people we call Sonographers there is a baby boom of seriously cute babies!!! I have had the privilege of taking the first out of the womb professional photos of a few of these oh so deliciously cute babies (and am super happy that there are a few more to come… 😉 yes you know who you are!!!).

Not only are these ladies lovely and have seriously good genes for producing gorgeous babies they have a design flair for decorating nurseries and houses that I just adore so these shoots have been a feast to nearly all my senses… They are all fantastic cooks so I may have to work sugar filled delights into some of the photos!

Little Olivia Lu was my most recent sweetheart from this lovely bunch and I couldn’t help but share some of these pics with you as she just made me melt… So enjoy this most beautiful of babes.
