Photographing Danielle and Greg’s wedding was such a delight. Held at Carrick Hill this garden affair was truly stunning and the simple white and green colour palette of the reception was just gorgeous! Everywhere you looked there was photographic inspiration, none more so inspired by the oh so stunning Danielle who truly is a natural when it comes to photos! To make it even more fun I had Nicole Cordeiro along for all the fun second shooting (she is a details virtuoso). I also got to be bridal Macgyver along with Danielle’s dad while the girls were getting ready… What we can do with safety pins, gaffa tape and ingenuity is nothing short of a miracle!

I hope you enjoy this adorable wedding!

I first met Ryan and Katelyn over a year ago. Katelyn was busily planning a wedding and my mum who works with Katelyn happened to mention I was a photographer and passed on my details. When we met up we chatted about her theme, colours, photos and I talked NBA with Ryan. Clearly I was loving both the bride and groom so was very excited when the calendar once again ticked over to April and it was time for their big day.

The day itself was actually a cold, raining and windy Autumn day. Even the weather couldn’t dampen the smile of Katelyn’s face who truly was the always smiling bride. Between the downpours the bridal party and I managed to get a few quick photos in the gorgeous town of Houghton. The sun even popped through the clouds to give us a gorgeous sunset. It was such a pleasure shooting this couple.

For anyone who knows about pintrest you will know its a world of virtual fun where its is a visual feast and provides inspiration that makes you want to go out and shop, take a cooking class or become a DIY maverick. My pintrest boards are  filled with pretty lovely and ecclectic bits and bobs that truly warm my heart. So when I got my bride Angel onto pintrest I was delighted to see her pins appear and mimic my creative style and loves. I knew that style wise we would create a perfect pair and it would make photographing this pair’s engagement session oh so easy and oh so delightful. Honestly it was like a real life pintrest. As if I searched ‘ultimate shoot for Carly that incorporates all her favourite things and even involves ice cream and cute blue shoes that I really want’. I have been in creative overload since doing this shoot and truly adore these photos and this couple who I can’t wait to shoot on their big day in October!

In April I was lucky enough to travel to two gorgeous sea side towns to shoot weddings. The first of which was only a mere seven hour drive to Port Lincoln. I know I probably should have hopped on the half hour flight but I love road trips and It was a great excuse to go and meet two of my upcoming brides who live along the way to Port Lincoln. I have been so busy that I was truly excited to be going away. I put audio books on my iPhone as well as a amazing playlist I made and even gave myself a day off to explore Port Lincoln and relax.

So when the day actually came to shoot Talissa and Brodie’s wedding I was the most relaxed that I had been in months, the amazing bridal party and super photogenic bride  just made my day even better! Talissa was truly stunning and the bridesmaids were some of the most welcoming and funny people I have had the joy of photographing. I even got to catch up with one of the couples I shot last year who were guests at Talissa and Brodie’s wedding. I would travel the 1300 km again in a heartbeat if it meant shooting a wedding as fun as this one!

Hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Those who know me well know I love finding things. Discovering a cute store, exploring markets and searching online for that great new website. When I go on these hunts its usually as a result of a quirky idea I have for a new prop or way to decorate my house. I love seeing ordinary everyday things revamped into something beautiful. So when I got to Christina and Craig’s wedding my eyes were bulging out of my head and I was in heaven. Christina like me is a collector. Since her and Craig got engaged she has been searching for details in markets, op shops and using her amazing skills as an event planner as well as some help from her friends at Bliss Events to turn what is already a stunningly gorgeous venue – Al Ru Farm into  one of the most delightfully decorated weddings I have had the pleasure of photographing.

What made this wedding even more beautiful was that it was filled with the warmth of Christina and Craig’s dearly loved friends and family. The smiles were beaming all day, especially from the groom (Christina I see why you fell for that smile). I truly loved this wedding and hope you do to…

    Enjoy,
