I always try to find out how my brides and grooms first met and since hearing Dan and Nicole’s story I have had a craving for macaroons. Why? Because¬†macaroons are delicious melt in your mouth treats that look so pretty. And because its a crucial ingredient to how these two ended up going on their first date. Both were trying new recipes, Dan a souffles and Nicole macaroons, both had never cooked these before and Dan though he would raise the stakes. If he cooked the better dessert he got to take Nicole out on a date. I never asked if she threw the competition but Dan’s souffles won and he clearly swept Nicole off her feet. What girl wouldn’t be., Dan is a true romantic, sending flowers, taking Nicole out to brunch and even planning a surprise honeymoon that he kept secret until they checked in at the airport (for those wondering the gorgeous Island of Majorca in Spain was the destination).

Their day was truly special and I adored all the personal touches even down to the homemade olive oil these two gave their guests. There were smiles all around and Nicole was radiant. Even with the rain it was a bright and cheery day that I truly enjoyed being part of. Enjoy.

I have been photographing Jonty since he was a tiny and I mean tiny newborn. He then grew into the chubbiest cheeked little bub {see here} and is now the golden curl boy who was perfect for this sunset shoot. Jonty, digger, Mr Bunny, Amy (his mum) and I set off on an adventure through the hills of Houghton to get some vintage inspired snaps that would showcase this little boy in the best light possible.

We had the best time and by the end of it Jonty was a pro, striking a pose at every opportunity. I hope you enjoy these gorgeous pics… I sure do {and so does Jonty. When we showed him a few his reaction was “oh he’s so cute”… from the mouth of babes} Well have a great day and enjoy Jonty’s shoot. xoxo

For those of you who know me or have visited my blog before, you would know that I started my photography career way back in 2002 as a child and families photographer. My style and photography has changed a lot since working in a studio all those years ago but one thing has not… My absolute love for children and being able to get out and play with them while snapping breathtakingly gorgeous shots. I don’t get to do this as much as I like as my days are mostly spent photographing weddings but when I do it truly makes me smile. So each year when the leaves turn a golden hue I secretly get excited because it means its time for me to get out and play.

Photographing Izzy is a true privilege. I have known her parents for years and they were the first ever couple whose wedding I photographed. The pressure was on as well as Izzy’s dad and aunt are photography enthusiasts and have captured so many great shots of this chubby cheeked blue eyed belle. Also adding pressure was the fact that this oh so happy baby was awake and over stimulated through her new born shoot and even though we got heaps of cute shots I wanted to capture the smiles this girl is known for. As Izzy’s mum can attest there were smiles and a lot of laughs (mainly from us two) but Izzy being the independent and inquisitive bub she is was investigating everything around her, playing with leaves, picking flowers and being all together cute.

I hope you enjoy these gorgeous autumn images and Izzy’s amazing wardrobe!

I love details, pretty flowers, rustic accents and people who light up in front of the camera and boy did Lisa light up! You could not get the smile off her face as she was so happy to be marrying Jonathon. When we caught up last night to give them their wedding photos they commented wow there are so many photos. I confess I may have been a little snap happy that day but how could I not be? Lisa had styled everything to perfection, the parks and vineyards were aglow in Autumn colours and the sunshine was out to play.  Add to it that the entire bridal party were couples and dear friends it made for one cute and one fun day that was topped off with a reception in the Vintage Hall at Stonyfell Function Centre. It was so lovely with the fire lit, little accents everywhere and a room filled with loved ones.

It was a pleasure to shoot this wedding and I truly enjoyed it.
