Madeleine + Eddy

On the 7th day of Christmas my true love gave to me seven sweet touches, six sangrias, five reasons to smile, four spinning wheels, three white flowers, two pink flamingos and a macaroon wedding tree.

I had such a blast at Madeleine + Eddy’s engagement shoot earlier this year. They are such a sweet couple and were so excited to be getting married. Their love for each other shone through and while chatting in the lead up to their wedding I became particularly excited for their big day. Madeleine and her sister Mable had put so much thought into this sweet day that I knew I would be in photographic love. So here is seven sweet things I loved about their day.

–       Toby, the cutest bow tie wearing King Charles Cavalier around

–       Garden receptions with Mt Lofty as the stunning backdrop

–       The decorative details from kraft paper wrapped tables to tear drop vases hanging from the tree tops to water for each of the guests in honour of all of Toby’s four legged friends.

–       Unfrosted ombre cakes

–       Nap time – the flower girl and father of the bride needed a little rest so had a mid afternoon siesta

–       Penfolds Wines for guests to sign as an alternative to a guest book

–       Madeleine and Eddy whose sweet love for each other lit up my camera and my heart.

I hope you enjoy this sweet little wedding

Jacqui + Dave

There is a lot I love about doing what I do and definitely at the top of the list is sharing life’s special moments with people. To be able to capture the emotion, love, trust, joy and fun that is life is a true gift and when you start to get to know people, see them grow and are able to share in the greater story that is being written its even more rewarding. It felt just like this while photographing Jacuqi and Dave’s wedding. I first met these two a few years back. I was lucky enough to photograph Jacqui’s sister Alexis’ wedding. I had a blast shooting their wedding and fell in love with Jacqui and Dave’s little girl Amelia. So when Jacqui asked me to photograph her wedding I was thrilled. Not only would I get to document their special day and see Alexis and Tom who were both in this wedding but also get to chase Amelia around and photograph those gorgeous eyes!

The day was sun kissed and beautiful, from Jacqui’s dress to the gorgeous flowers but fabulous functions to the idyllic setting of My Lofty House it all set the scene for the beautiful Jacqui to marry her sweet heart.

I hope you enjoy this lovely little wedding,

Carly

Jessica + Dan

Its been a long and lovely journey to Dan and Jess’s wedding day, filled with extra large cups of tea and cuddles with their gorgeous dog buddy. I knew with a setting like Mt lofty house and a couple as sweet as Dan and Jess this wedding would be one I would adore and boy did I… Jess smile lit up my camera all day and that night her gorgeous hand made candles lit up the reception. The day was filled with personal touches, sweet notes, even sweeter words and a sense that this was one of those love stories that will last forever.

From when I opened the door to a room full of topless boys in bow ties to when the couple waves as adu I don’t think I stopped laughing or smiling… A fantastic and funny bridal party saw to that (and a self appointed neighbourhood watch man that made our railway station shots even more memorable). I am thrilled to show you this treat of a wedding and hope you enjoy it… Oh and if you want your house to be lit up with some gorgeous little candles check out Bird in Cage

Brett + Tara

My absence for wedding blog posts has not been due to a lack of stunning weddings, more the lack of computers to edit, select the few special pics I want to share and the ability to use this incredible thing called the world wide web. With my old faithful computer finally put out to pasture after four years of faithful service I have bowed to pressure, got myself a mac and will be posting again like crazy over the coming weeks.

The first of these weddings I am going to share is Brett and Tara’s wedding at Mt Lofty House. I loved their unique take on their wedding day. They held their ceremony before lunch and had a cocktail reception with friends before having an intimate dinner in the upstairs dining room with the bridal party and their families. It was such a sweet idea and meant that time was spent with loved ones. I even got to do a mini shoot with the gorgeous nieces and nephews that were so adorable. There was plenty of time to spend with the netball girls and have a dance, enjoy some delicious cupcakes from Cupcake Glamour and even had time to kick back and play some games. It was truly a delightful day and was a true honour to share it with you both.

Hope you enjoy,
Carly xoxo
