On the 12th Day of Christmas

On the 12th day of Christmas my true love gave to me twelve cute kids, eleven years of love, ten timeless moments, nine holes of golf, eight sparkling sparklers, seven sweet touches, six sangrias, five reason to smile, four spinning wheels, three white flowers, two pink flamingos and a macaroon wedding tree.

Its Christmas Eve, I would say its the day before my most favourite day of the year but it isnt. I think Christmas Eve is just as special. Its become a tradition to me. I get to see cute kids dressed up as sheep, mc hammer look alikes or beautiful angels and put on a darling show. After which friends come round for a drink and a laugh before we usher in Christmas with a Jazz Carol or two. Its such a beautiful night spend with family and friends and I adore it.

So as I edit the finishing touches to more of these cute videos for tonights show I though I would share the outtakes we put together. So if you are looking for something wonderful to do with your Christmas Eve come along and say hi, we would love to see you there.

As the very cute girl at the end says.

Have a good Christmas.

Enjoy it with someone you love.

Kat + Matt

On the 8th day of Christmas my true love gave to me eight sparkling sparklers, seven sweet touches, six sangrias, five reason to smile, four spinning wheels, three white flowers, two pink flamingos and a macaroon wedding tree.

I’m up bright and early as I am about to head off to shoot a glorious wedding and just bursting at the seems to share this wedding with you. Pulling up to the B&B’s in Tanunda where Kat and Matt were getting ready I had a particular pep in my step as I was swooning at the thought of this wedding. I mean how can you not. With a vintage inspired theme filled with fruitful vineyards, old mustang convertibles, bird cages in the brides hair, flower petals wrapped in songs of love, broach wearing bridesmaids, bright lip stick, his and hers wedding underwear courtesy of a very creative bridesmaid Dayzee, hidden cellars, sparklers, a timeless lace gown and some fine scotch or two… I was already in a photography wonderland but add in a stunning couple with a lot of class this wedding OMG!!!!!!!

ChateauYaldara and Gomersal Winery provided the perfect backdrop but it was this bride and groom who truly shone!

You can tell by the overload of photos that I adored this wedding and I am thrilled to share this classy and classic wedding with you.

Enjoy

Carly xoxo

Madeleine + Eddy

On the 7th day of Christmas my true love gave to me seven sweet touches, six sangrias, five reasons to smile, four spinning wheels, three white flowers, two pink flamingos and a macaroon wedding tree.

I had such a blast at Madeleine + Eddy’s engagement shoot earlier this year. They are such a sweet couple and were so excited to be getting married. Their love for each other shone through and while chatting in the lead up to their wedding I became particularly excited for their big day. Madeleine and her sister Mable had put so much thought into this sweet day that I knew I would be in photographic love. So here is seven sweet things I loved about their day.

–       Toby, the cutest bow tie wearing King Charles Cavalier around

–       Garden receptions with Mt Lofty as the stunning backdrop

–       The decorative details from kraft paper wrapped tables to tear drop vases hanging from the tree tops to water for each of the guests in honour of all of Toby’s four legged friends.

–       Unfrosted ombre cakes

–       Nap time – the flower girl and father of the bride needed a little rest so had a mid afternoon siesta

–       Penfolds Wines for guests to sign as an alternative to a guest book

–       Madeleine and Eddy whose sweet love for each other lit up my camera and my heart.

I hope you enjoy this sweet little wedding

Carly xoxo

Verity + Tom

On the 2nd day of Christmas my true love gave to me two pink flamingos and a macaroon wedding tree.

It’s 6am and as the sun rises and the birds chirp I am awake and bursting at the seams to show you Tom + Verity’s wedding that was held at their farm. Held in their converted wood shed and set into a backdrop of rolling hills and glistening pink and yellow fields this wedding was an absolute dream. The detail gave Lochie and I hours of fun to photograph and so did kids who played merrily on hay bails and amongst the trees. Everywhere you looked there was a detail to admire, a view to take in or an expression to capture. It was my kind of wedding, in fact its probably the closest wedding that I have attended or photographed to what I would do on my big day, and yes I may be taking an idea or twenty from you guys.

This wedding truly captured the love these two have for each other and those who attended. Everyone who was invited was also involved, from making flower wreaths for the girls to wear in their hair, everyone who camped out for the weekend, to all the musicians and bands being friends of the couple (special mention to the ukulele group, you girls were a hit). You could feel the love on this land and that this day was about a celebration of two people who open their arms wide, invest themselves and love deeply.

From the stroll to the top of the hill to the ceremony and the bride and groom arriving on a tractor to bands playing on the back of a pick up truck while friends laughed around bon fires every moment of this day had soul and was a dream to be part of… So forgive this very long blog post I couldn’t  choose between all the photos!

Enjoy,

Carly xoxo

Neill + Kym {on the ninth day of Christmas}

On the ninth day of Christmas Carly Showed to me nine carriages swaying, eight smiling faces, seven peach peonies, six feet of air, five months of waiting, four tiers of utopia, three timeless kisses, two twins cuddling and a ready made family.

Kym and Neill’s wedding was a beach side  treat. The weather was gorgeous (minus a bit of wind that almost sent us flying during the bridal party shoot). All the details were truly stunning and the pink ombre cake was divine! The photos were an absolute blast with lots of laughter and so many great shots. Jai and Kane truly won me over with their gorgeous little outfits and cheeky grins!

As a kiss was share, rings were given we continued on the night by dancing while the sun set and even took a ride on the ferris wheel. Ever since I took these shots I have had this quote in my mind.

“Love doesn’t make the world go round, but it makes the ride worthwhile” – Franklin P Jones.

May your ride always bring laughter, love and joy!

Enjoy, Carly
