Kate + Rowie

When you meet a bride and can instantly see why the man she is marrying fell in love with her you know you are on a winning thing. Kate was all smiles and laughter when we first met over two years ago now. She was so relaxed and quietly excited about her big day. She spoke beautifully about Rowie her surfer beau who she was head over heels with and their chilled out vibe they wanted for their wedding. She was so warm, fun and well umm drop dead gorgeous that I knew shooting this day would be a dream. Plus she has extremely great taste in friends, Sarah her maid of honour was in a wedding I shot a year prior that had me swooning. Meeting Rowie was just as I imagined and over a coffee I got to see firsthand what I had already assumed, a love so fun and real that it would blow my socks off!

The wedding at Paxton Wines in Mclaren Vale was Ah-Mazing! The day was spectacular in every form. It was the kind of wedding you didn’t want to leave because it was so beautiful and fun… So I didn’t I actually stayed well past when I thought I was leaving because I couldn’t put my camera down and stop documenting this smashing day. It just exudes friendship, love and real beauty.

I hope you enjoy,

Carly xoxo

Rachel + Tom

Where do I start with this amazing wedding? Seriously I am lost for words and that never happens! I think its because as I went back through Rachel and Tom’s wedding I was in awe of the beauty and love that shone through. Rachel and Tom had such an ease with each other that I think shows the depth of their connection. These high school sweethearts took us to where it all began, their school chapel and even the spot where Tom asked Rachel out! The spark, excitement and buzz created by these two was contagious and my camera love it and all its classic glamour and detail. Between the schoolyard and The National Wine Centre we frolicked with horses before dancing the night away…. YES the entire night. It is the only wedding to date where an impromptu dance circle broke out before the dance floor was even open so we all kicked up our heels and enjoyed this amazing wedding.

Hope you do to…

Carly xoxo

Melissa + Scott

The Riverland is one of those greatly kept secrets, especially when it comes to weddings. So when Scott and Melissa invited me to shoot their wedding in the picturesque Bow Hill I was delighted. They wanted their wedding to truly reflect them so an afternoon on the banks of their river shack enjoying laughter, good music, good friends and a drink or two was the perfect setting for this couple to tie the knot. When I got the email from Mel telling me that her and Scott were engaged I squealed with delight. Why? Well when you see Mel and Scott you will know in part why. They are the most beautiful and in love couple that are a blast to spend time with. Their families are also amazing. I had the pleasure to meet them at Wade and Sarah’s wedding which to date is one of the most fun weddings I have been part of so I knew I would adore this one.

When I hopped on the fairy and drove along the dirt roads towards the shack I knew it would be a great day but it was even better than I could have imagined. Once again the girls outdid themselves with beautiful detail, perfect planning and an atmosphere that made you smile with delight.

It was a blissful afternoon that ended with a boat ride, a private moment and some breathtaking shots. Four months on I am still swooning over this big day and wish I could enjoy it all again.

Enjoy,

Carly xoxo

Nicolle + Clint

While writing this blog I am feeding my dog Davie treats. Why you might ask? Well he is the catalyst behind this post. It was because of his quirks and barking at the neighbours kid using our fence as a soccer goal that lead me to meet Sue a wonderful and talented woman with excellent taste from Bark Busters. She came to our home and helped train Davie not to bark at the neighbours kid. After all of five minutes we seemed to have that sorted so spent the rest of the time teaching the pup some tricks and chatting. It must have come up that I was a photographer because a few months later there was an email from Clint and Nicole asking to meet with me. Sue, Clint’s mum , suggested that they check out my site as she thought I might be a good match for their wedding photographer. She is such a wise woman as not only did she cure Davie from barking at the kid next door but connected me with one of the most amazing couples.

Which brings me to this blog post from March where sun soak days filled our skies and summer was starting to fade. Mine and Lochie’s cheeks were hurting by the end of the day from smiling and laughing so much. It felt like we were at a friends wedding and enjoying every moment. From a little basket ball in the morning to dancing the night away this wedding was a blast. But nothing topped the love that these teenage sweethearts who met at pizza hut share and the generosity they have towards their friends and family. Being part of your day was truly special and we adored every minute. So as Davie sits here in a food coma from all his treats I think the moral of this story is listen to your mum cos she knows best!

Hope you enjoy this wedding.

Cat + Paul

When the leaves start to turn that golden hue and the hills sprawl with an emerald green I get a little smile on my face and a quickening in my step as it usually means its April and one of my favourite months of the year. It is home to my birthday but that isnt why, its because it usually hosts Easter, the mornings are a little crisper so I can start to wear scarfes and don my slippers again. Its when the light shines with a pure golden hue that is divine to see and a joy to shoot. Autumn weddings are some of my favourite, filled with so much natural beauty and Cat and Paul’s wedding at Goldings Winery was so breathtakingly crafted that everywhere I turned I was inspired, refreshed and smiling at the sense of love and laughter that surrounded this entire day.

From drinks with the boys, to the laughing with the girls in the morning, the most adorable page boy, wild attacking bees,  to the exquisite taste and detail of everything chosen to reflect and celebrate this day, the stolen moments, wide smile and firsts as man and wife this wedding was a delight and I am thrilled to share it with you.

I hope you enjoy

Carly xoxo
