Amanda + Adam

At the end of June I left cold wintery Adelaide and hopped on a plane to the gorgeous little Island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. It was the destination Adam and Amanda had chosen for there intimate wedding with family and friends and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to have been invited to take this journey as their wedding photographer. This was the complete melding of three of my greatest loves; travel, photography and weddings.

I got to explore this friendly and truly beautiful island for a few days while scouting out locations to take some photos and even found some fun ways of doing it such as kayaking, taking the local bus, beautiful walks, driving around and around in circles, literally there is only one circular road around the island, and my favourite paddle boarding with the local island dog as guides. I totally fell in love with this piece of paradise and knew Amanda and Adam had chosen the perfect place for their wedding.

The big day was truly perfect. The sun shone, everyone was enjoying the moment and Amanda looked truly breath taking. After these two said there I Do’s on the stunning coral beach we found some gorgeous little spots to show off the beauty of this Island and the very good looking bridal party. From little ruins to Muri Beach to the lily gardens in the beachcomber villas I had the luxury of staying in everything worked perfectly and I was like a giddy little school girl with all this beauty to photograph.

The night was just as perfect with a local island feast, dancing and a lot of love

If the wedding day goodness was not a few days after we did a bridal shoot of the couple at sunset with the glorious black rock as our setting. The sunset painted across the sky couldn’t get any more beautiful. The couple shone with love and even Lucas Mandy’s son joined in the fun. I hope you enjoy this little gem of a wedding all the way from the stunning Rarotonga.

Irene + Pete

It’s been a long time since I have posted some gorgeous wedding goodness on here. The past few months have been a lovely and sometimes relaxing whirlwind where I have had some surgery, traveled to the stunning Cook Islands to photograph a wedding, had a little mini break in Daylesford Victoria and been drinking cups of tea while catching up with friends, family and my wonderful couples. This isnt even mentioning all the exciting new ventures that I will be mentioning in the next few months.

So today I decided today was the day I start to post all the autumn/winter weddings for you all to see and I couldn’t think of a better way to start my first post in a long time than by showing you my last autumn wedding of the season.

Irene and Pete’s wedding was set amongst the beautiful vines of Middlebrook Estate and when I arrived there in the morning Irene was there, hair and make up done, setting up what was the most delicious dessert bar I had ever seen. The table center pieces were exquisite with flowers from The White Orchid. Irene’s attention to detail and little touches set the scene to what was to be a romantic intimate affair with a lot of fun.

In a beautiful custom made lace gown by Betrothed Irene walked down the Isle to her man Pete, they smiled, shared vows, a kiss and a hug. They signed and made it official and then the fun began. For me it was taking all these photos of this very in love couple, for everyone it was the amazing reception as we danced the night away and enjoyed a macaroon or three!

I hope you enjoy this gorgeous wedding.

Nicole + Declan

What I am about to show you will sweep you off your feet! This gorgeous wedding adorned with David Austin roses, Dahlia’s, hessian and mason jars, gorgeous jeweled bling, yellow Kombi vans, Irish Accents, a stunning bustier corset Karen Willis Holmes dress was not only one of the most fun weddings I have had the pleasure to shoot in a long time it also holds the record as the windiest wedding I have ever shot!

Even as the wind was blowing her backwards down the isle nothing could keep Nicole from coming to say I Do to Declan her Irish bo! Laughter filled the air as there was a reading or two and the fun continued as we took advantage of the weather conditions and Nicole’s gorgeous dress to get some of my favourite bridal party shots.

As the sun set the party was only beginning to celebrate what was truly a precious day.

Hope you enjoy.

Jessica + Dan

Its been a long and lovely journey to Dan and Jess’s wedding day, filled with extra large cups of tea and cuddles with their gorgeous dog buddy. I knew with a setting like Mt lofty house and a couple as sweet as Dan and Jess this wedding would be one I would adore and boy did I… Jess smile lit up my camera all day and that night her gorgeous hand made candles lit up the reception. The day was filled with personal touches, sweet notes, even sweeter words and a sense that this was one of those love stories that will last forever.

From when I opened the door to a room full of topless boys in bow ties to when the couple waves as adu I don’t think I stopped laughing or smiling… A fantastic and funny bridal party saw to that (and a self appointed neighbourhood watch man that made our railway station shots even more memorable). I am thrilled to show you this treat of a wedding and hope you enjoy it… Oh and if you want your house to be lit up with some gorgeous little candles check out Bird in Cage

Nicola + Dan

Dan and Nicola’s wedding was an absolute joy to photograph. From when we rocked up to Tempest to get some shots of the girl getting their hair and make up done we were in creative overload. We meaning myself and my assistant Lochie who came along to capture the detail and candid moments of the day. Nicola’s custom made dress was an absolute knockout as were the bridesmaids in brilliant blue.

Golding’s winery was the perfect backdrop to this heartfelt ceremony that incorporated Nicola’s Jewish heritage. From the I do’s we escaped to the vines for some photos before dancing the night away in what was a truly beautiful day.

I hope you enjoy,
